Ceramic Pigment Introduction and Usage:

Ceramic pigment, also known as ceramic color pigment or ceramic color pigment, is a powdered colored decorative material for ceramics formulated with a color base and a flux or additive. The general term for pigments used on ceramics. Including overglaze, underglaze and glaze and body coloring pigments. General term for pigments used in ceramics. Includes pigments for overglaze, underglaze, and glaze and body coloring. In the ceramic production process, these pigments should be subjected to different temperatures of calcination, the requirements of different uses of pigments are different. Such as underglaze pigment should be subjected to high temperature (more than 1300 ℃) calcination, requires high stability, but less varieties, the earliest use of blue, glaze red, and in recent years made of red, yellow, green, green, black, gray, brown and so on. Glaze pigments only have to withstand a temperature of 600 to 800 ℃, thus a wide range of varieties and rich colors. In addition, as a glaze decoration of liquid pigments, such as gold water, etc., is a metal and organic compounds synthesized sulfide paste, plus organic solvents made. After the seventies and the development of high-temperature fast-firing pigments (glaze color), color firing temperature 1100 ~ 1260 ℃, color firing time of 35 ~ 120 minutes, the tone is also richer.

The role of ceramic pigment: ① billet coloring: mix the colorant and billet, so that the billet shows a certain color after burning. ② glaze coloring: with the color agent and the basic glaze can be blended with a variety of color glaze and art glaze. ③ Drawing patterns and designs: a large number of glaze surface and under the glaze for hand-painted, can also be used as decal paper, screen printing and so on.
